The Warden’s Yard is a civic building dedicated to fighting fires within the settlement. Each Warden’s Yard employs a single warden and maintains a specialised water cart. The warden’s sole duty is to keep the cart filled and ready to depart at a moment’s notice. When a fire breaks out, a prepared water cart will be dispatched to the blaze, where its tubs are tipped to help suppress the flames.

The yard’s well is also available to civilians, who may draw buckets of water to assist in extinguishing nearby fires.
